1. Commerce & Management Forum “VANIJYA UTSAV”

The commerce Forum of the college intends in ensuring and training students in personality development and providing sufficient knowledge regarding the functioning and operating of corporate world. In this regard, basic motives, commerce association was formed to conduct various activities throughout the year, in emphasizing the students in building confidence and gaining sufficient knowledge.

Objectives:

  • To develop overall personality of the students
  • To impact the practicality of commerce
  • To channelize students potential to meet the dynamic business environment
  • To build decision making quality

2. Cultural Committee “SAMSKRUTHI”

Cultural Committee “SAMSKRUTI” of Siddaganga ShivaKumara Swamiji (SSK) Degree College is one of the Pre-dominant committees responsible for the Jazz factor during the students’ college life. The committee believes that a college should have its equal share of fun along with the studies. Cultural communication is an attempt to capture the vibrant personality of the students by offering them a platform to showcase their inner musicians, dancers, actors, painters, writers, photographers and other talents. Cultural committee shall conduct intra and inter collegiate cultural events in the college.


3. NSS

NSS is actively take part in developing the college. NSS consist of 50 students headed by NSS officer. NSS render the shramadan on every week end, holds the awareness programme for student and other stakeholder.


4. Eco Club “PRAKRUTI”

PRAKRUTI at Siddaganga ShivaKumara Swamiji (SSK) Degree College is a great way to energize the student about taking care of the Earth and helping the community. The prime motive was to spread awareness among the students, teachers and to the society about saving environment.
The club was formed with the aim to teach young minds’ the Love of nature and maintain an environmentally friendly, eco-conscious.
Students of Siddaganga ShivaKumara Swamiji (SSK) Degree College actively participate in activities like awareness on segregation of waste, recycling, Eco-street, sapling, plantation. Eco Club PRAKRUTI contested in “Swatch Bharta Abyana – 2019-20”

Objective :

  • To educate the student about their responsibility towards environment.
  • To have a clean-up day of an area in our community.
  • To organize an “envirothon” – a walkathon to great awareness.
  • To support shop owner by not using the plastic bags.

5. Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Study Centre

“Cultivation of mind should be the ultimate Aim of Human Existence”.
“I Measure the progress of community by the degree of progress which women have achieved”

The committee focus :

  • To propogate the ideas of Dr.Ambedkar
  • To uplift the economically deprived sections of the society
  • To promote studies and research on Dr.Ambedkar

6. Mahatma Gandhi Study Centre

“A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes” a sayings from Mahatma Gandhi is to ensure sustainable development through the strategies of Mahatma Gandhi’s movements, designing products and the revival of domestic products and production processes”.

The committee focus :

  • Strive to help establish a world founded on Truth, Ahimsa, peaceful co-existence, conservation and Love for labour-values cherished and practiced by Mahatma Gandh
  • Wish to promote the young entrepreneurs and start-ups in the line of the Khadi/Cottage/Bamboo industries by technical means.
  • Need to emphasize the simplicity of living and high thinking among students and youth.

7. Swami Vivekanad Study Centre

“The only true teacher is one, who can convert oneself as I were into a thousand persons at a moment’s notice, who can immediately come down to the level of the student and transfer his/her soul to the student’s soul/and see through the student’s eyes and hear through his/her ears and understand through his/her mind”.

Golden Rules from Vivekananda :

  • Who is Helping you, Don’t forget them
  • Who is Loving you, Don’t Hate them
  • Who is Believing you, Don’t cheat them

The committee focus :

  • To conduct seminars and lectures encouraging students on concessions and special programmes for women’s education and health.
  • Encouraging students to attend competitions conducted by intra and inter collegiate

8. Baghwan Buddha Study Centre

“We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world” sayings from Baghwan Buddha is to ensure the students focus on their aim. It focuses on wisdom and an ideal state of intellectual and ethical perfection which can be achieved by man through purely human means.

The committee focus :

  • To disseminate knowledge of Buddha’s philosophy
  • To promote harmony amongst the people

9. Language Club

Our college ‘Language Club’ is aiming to help students to practice their language skills. Students acquire fluency in a fun and friendly environment through dynamic activities, seminars and workshops. Language club has adopted a face-to-face language exchange format. Ideally students learn Kannada, Hindi, English language skills with one another through conversations and other dynamic activities under the guidance of our experienced Language facility.

10. Alumni Association “NENAPINANGALA”

“The right time, right friends, the right place, right way of spending is the greatest bonding”.
Siddaganga ShivaKumara Swamiji (SSK) Degree College strive to establish a relationship with alumni. Our alumni services stimulate interaction and maintain support mechanisms for alumni networking.

Objectives

  • To promote and foster mutually beneficial interaction between the Alumni and the present students.
  • To encourage the alumni to take an active and abiding interest in the work and progress of the institution.
  • To bring about an effective, cohesive and mutually beneficial networking between the members of the alumni.

Functions

  • Conducting alumni meet once in a year.
  • Inviting alumni students to interact with the present students.
  • Involving alumni students in the extension activities conducted by the college.
